Psalm 118:17

I will not die, but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.

Chemo went well yesterday. I was tired, kind of felt like the flu and was nauseous at bedtime, but overall, it was much better than last week. Thank the Lord. The fluid in my abdomen seems to be staying about the same. I have definitely accumulated fluid since I had it taken off last Monday, but it is not anywhere as bad as it was. And it seems to remain the same from day to day. So, something must be working. Besides the chemo, they have been doing laser therapy on my lymph system trying to get it to drain. Hopefully between the chemo and that, it will start to decrease.
My aunt Lauren flew in Monday night and leaves early tomorrow morning. We have had a good time with her. She and mom can make anyone laugh. Mom also leaves tomorrow night. And Ian, Shane and the kids left today to head out here. They should be here sometime on Thursday. I can't wait to wrap my arms around both of them. It's been almost two weeks since I have seen them and I am ready!
Tomorrow I have an appointment for what is called recall healing. I have not done it before, but it is working on the emotional part of all of this. Please pray that my mind would be open to what hurts I have had in the past. I really believe that emotional stress or trauma has alot to do with cancer, as well as other diseases. I will have to have four sessions of this and the first is tomorrow.
Thank you all for continuing to pray and for sending me your words of encouragement. I look forward to your comments on my blog and facebook. Most of the time, it is just what I need.
Love you all!

  1. you know how much you are loved?? I am glad Lauren came out. I can just imagine her and your mom making you laugh. Those 2 are priceless!!! I know you are aching to hold your kids..I know they must be over the top excited that they are to be on their way to you. The news that the fluid is maintaining is encouraging. I continue to pray without ceasing for you and trust God for your total physican, emotional, and spiritual healing. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO!!!!!!

  2. Your mom sounded like a new woman yesterday so I know that Lauren must have been good medicine for both of you! I'm very interested in your recall therapy. I think it will be very helpful to you. I'm praying right now for you to be able to reach into your past so you can start to heal the future. Wish I could be there to see Ian and the kids arrive! I'll bet they are soooo excited. I'm praying for a safe journey!! Maybe they have already arrived!! Squeeze them tight! Love you....

  3. Kelly - Just touching base to let you know I love you and continue to fast and pray for you. I am so glad your family will be there with you today. Praying that God will continue to meet you daily where you need Him too. Enjoy your time with your precious children!
Do you know Dr. Cowden? He has helped us alot with Caleb. He has asked us to call and come out to meet with him. Someone told me you might know of him.
God bless you Kelly!!!! You are loved and lifted before the throne minute by minute!

  4. Kelly,
I am glad you are feeling a little better, and I hope your recall therapy goes well also (I will be praying for you), do they also do visualization therapy? Kelly I think of you often and pray for you during those times. Thank you for sharing your life with us and for keeping us informed. Have a great visit with Ian, Shane, Maddie and Parker.
